Join us for a presentation of the film, Holodomor: Minnesota Memories of Genocide in Ukraine, followed by an opportunity to meet with the director of the film, Zina Gutmanis.

90 years ago, Stalin and the Communist Party organized a famine genocide to subdue and destroy Ukrainian national identity. How does one find meaning in a painful past? How does the memory of surviving genocide get transmitted to the survivor’s family and community? What stories are told – or not? Now, in 2023, Ukraine is once again in a fight for its very survival.
